i know i've told some of you about my freakish fascination with scotch tape. when my mom asked me what i wanted for christmas in 1992-ish, i told her i wanted a costo-sized supply of scotch tape. and not the wuss semi transparent shit. i mean the pure clear super sticky all purpose ISH. tape is so useful! i wish i invented tape. i used to create a cast for my hands with oodles of tape when i was bored in elementary school. i used tape to construct all of my science fair projects. it is the instrument of every mockengineer, and for the past eighteen years, tape has been my best friend. i have a ridiculous supply of tape in my desk as we speak. i dont know why i'm blogging about this, but let me go on anyway. here is just ONE usefulness of tape. you know when your drawstring comes out in your pants? and it's a pain in the ass to get that string through the little hole alll the way through? WELL...all you have to do is create a little cone with a piece of tape at one end of the string and the hard tip makes this task as simple as weaving a needle through a hole. i have such a deep appreciation for tape, no joke. you know how people ask each other what one item they would bring with them if they had to be stranded on an island alone. my item would be scotch tape.
