it's RAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wooooooh i love this weather for some reason. i was walking in old town today to buy some sheet music, and it was so nice. the pavement was wet, and the drizzle was making everything dew-ey. and it smelled like all the smog and dirt and trash was being washed away. i felt like a new yorker. even though i've been in new york for maybe 2 hours of my life, and even though i know nothing about living in new york, i felt like one. it was strange, and i loved it. i love L.A.
gay employees
something really troubled me today when i was at old town music. all the male employees were...G.A.Y. completely homo. it was so weird. and disappointing. this one korean employee was REALLY cute and way to well dressed. and i was checking him out (::giggle::) uhh..not really giggle. does iris shim EVER giggle? ok, anyway, so i was looking at him and i was about to give him an A- when...he picked up the phone and had the highest voice and talked with a lisp. ok, that is a bit stereotypical, but man, these guys fit the shoe totally and completely. man....what's happening with all the cute guys out there? and what does this mean about the men in the classical music community? are they all gay??? he was really nice, though. and he winked at me!
violin
so finally, i pick up the fiddle again. it's been a looongg break, and now it's time. i spent an hour or so just browsing through old town music store today. and i picked the material i am gonna play for my spring concert! it's all the stuff i've always wanted to play :). it's gonna rock. but unfortunately, my skills have dropped drastically in the past few months. when i practiced today, i sounded terrible. my mom came in and was like..."mikyung ah (korean="dear child" haha) why dont you play the guitar for a little bit?" hahahhahahha how crazy is that. but anyway, never fear. passion, perseverence- i can DO it!
lucas!
